Vietnam Ho Chi Minh Airport Advance Entry Application Form and
Amending Vietnam E-Visa during review??

Is it true that I have to fill out the Pre-arrival Information Submission for Visitors when entering Ho Chi Minh City airport?
Although trial operations were scheduled to begin at Ho Chi Minh Airport on April 15, 2026, they have not yet been implemented due to a lack of system completion. You do not need to prepare a QR code for pre-arrival information submission in advance.
I applied on the visa application website a few days ago, but it says there's a problem with the information I entered and I need to amend it. I'm leaving tomorrow, what should I do?
If the content entered is insufficient or the image of the passport or photo is not suitable, a request for amendment will come.
If you have time before your trip to Vietnam, you can edit and enter it yourself. If you're pressed for time, please contact me.
Your passport's expiration date is less than 6 months away.
If I get a Vietnamese visa, will there be no problem with departing from and entering Vietnam?

3. My passport has 2 months (3 months/4 months/5 months/6 months) of validity remaining. Can I enter Vietnam?
Korean passport holders can stay in Vietnam for up to 45 days visa-free.
Passports with less than six months validity are only allowed entry with an E-Visa or visa on arrival issued by the Vietnamese government, and boarding will be permitted at the departure airport.
4. Is there a problem if I have a Vietnamese visa?
Even if your passport has about 3 months of validity remaining, there are no problems entering or exiting Vietnam as long as you have a Vietnam visa.
A visa is not a private document from a travel agency or visa processing company. It is a government document issued by the Vietnamese Immigration Department that permits the holder of the passport to enter and exit Vietnam within a specified period, after reviewing the passport's validity and whether the visa applicant has any past immigration records such as overstaying or illegal activities in Vietnam, or deportation.
Occasionally, some airlines may refuse boarding, stating that passports with less than 6 months of validity may not be allowed to enter Vietnam even with a visa. However, if the Vietnamese government (Immigration Department) has issued a visa, you will have no problem entering Vietnam, even if your passport has only 2 months of validity remaining. Those who should be denied entry would not be issued a visa in the first place.
Based on 10 years of experience, there are only five types of individuals with visas who are denied entry. 1) Those who are wanted by Interpol. 2) Those using a sibling's passport instead of their own. 3) Those with a damaged passport (torn, visa stamps smudged from water, or heavily defaced with writing). 4) Those who have undergone significant plastic surgery, making them look different from their passport photo, and who cannot prove their identity with their national ID card (like a resident registration card). 5) Those with fake visas created using Photoshop or similar software.
You can travel to Vietnam even if your passport has only 60 days of remaining validity, provided you have an e-visa (confirmed on the Vietnam Immigration Portal) or an officially issued visa on arrival approval letter.

5. I need to stay in Vietnam longer, is it possible to extend my visa without leaving Vietnam?
Extensions are possible if there is a guarantor or guarantee institution in Vietnam.
Individuals currently holding DN, DT, and TT visas can extend their visas with the guarantee of a Vietnamese company or a Vietnamese national.
However, for travelers, visa extensions are not possible within Vietnam, so you will need to go to a neighboring country or the Moc Bai land border for a visa run.

I'm planning a visa run to a country bordering Vietnam. Can I get a visa on the same day I go?
If you apply before 8 AM Vietnam time, you can get visa approval within 2, 4, or 8 hours for re-entry.
However, you can only request expedited screening and approval after receiving your exit stamp at the Vietnamese airport.

7. I don't have time on weekdays, so I want to visit on the weekend (Saturday/Sunday). Is it possible to apply for and receive a Vietnam visa on weekends or holidays?
=> Vietnam visa issuance is possible even on weekends and holidays.
On Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays, the application deadline is 3:30 PM Vietnam time. If you apply before the deadline, you will receive your e-visa at 5:00 PM Vietnam time. This is an official e-visa that can be checked directly on the Vietnam Immigration Visa Application website (https://evisa.gov.vn). Both single-entry and multiple-entry visas valid for 90 days can be applied for on weekends. However, please note that this service costs $50 more than the 2-hour express service on weekdays.
Can I get a visa upon arrival at a Vietnamese airport?

8. Can't Vietnamese citizens get a visa on arrival at Vietnamese airports?
Vietnam does not offer on-arrival visas at the airport, unlike Cambodia.
To obtain a Visa on Arrival at a Vietnamese airport or land border, you must have a Visa on Arrival Approval Letter before departing your country.
For a Vietnam visa, what is the fastest processing time?
Yes. When applying through the individual direct Vietnam visa application portal, screening begins 72 hours after application (excluding Saturdays and Sundays). Therefore, if you apply on Thursday, you will receive the visa results as early as Tuesday evening of the following week.
However, most visa application agencies can issue visas on weekdays within business hours with options for 1-hour, 2-hour, 4-hour, 8-hour, 24-hour, or 48-hour processing times. These are issued as e-Visas, similar to the electronic visas provided through the Vietnam Visa Application Portal.
10. Can individuals not apply for express visas themselves?
Only general applications are available on the application site.
Emergency visa issuance requests can only be processed urgently through specialized visa agencies affiliated with Vietnam Immigration.
Companies registered as authorized agencies undergo visa processing and approval through a different channel than the general public, so express approval is only possible through an authorized agency.
